France'41
From our friend Stéphane Guerréro of France'41 comes a very interesting kit in a new and growing line, the CAPRA.R.30. France'41 is a fairly new endeavor, but already has a few kits available including:
SG.1: conversion kit for an Amiot 150 BE (M) from the Heller Amiot 143, with decals,
SG.2: Charpentier C.1, complete kit, with decals,
SG.3: CAPRA R.20, complete kit, with decals and
SG.4: CAPRA R.30, complete kit, with decals
The line focuses on the potential in French avaition had the war not come as soon. For this reason the aircraft will prove to be most interesting.
For the kit Stéphane so kindly sent, it was packed in a sturdy, corregated cardboard box which will protect your kit well in shipment. On the box was a very nice and colorful label with an illustration and designation for the kit inside.

The kit contains 17 parts. All but one are in white resin and attached to the resin trees. The cockpit canopy is in clear vacuformed plastic. While the resin is strong, it is attached with the translusent wafer style so care will be needed when separating the parts from this, especially those of a more delicate nature. The vacuform canopy is clearly defined and can be separated with the usual method of a sharp hobby knife.

The decals are very clearly defined and contained with the canopy in a protective plastic bag. They are they traditional water-slide variety and look to be strong for placement.

For assembly the instructions are detailed with a history of the aircraft, performance data, building directions, painting guide, decal placement and references, in French. On the reverse of the instuction sheet is a 1/72 three-view illustration, list of other France'41 kits and contact information.

IRMA finds the kit of good quality for a new company starting out and recommends this for those interested in the "What could have been . . ." for France, as the France'41 name suggests.
France'41 does not yet have a website so to order kits please use the contact information:
